Mercer County Lawyers at Chamber of Commerce Event
The attorneys of Hurst & Hurst Law attended the chamber event hosted by the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce. The event took place in Harrodsburg, KY at Economic Alliance and the Olde Town Distillery building. The wonderful event had BBQ, tastings, and tours of the distillery and building.

Harrodsburg’s 2nd Annual Oktoberfest
Mercer County held it’s 2nd Annual Oktoberfest in historic downtown Harrodsburg last weekend. The festival took over main street from Friday through Sunday. And actually blocked off several blocks of downtown to traffic. There was live music throughout the festival. And the party got kicked off with a large concert and celebration Friday night. 7th Annual Kentucky State Barbecue Festival
The 7th Annual Kentucky State BBQ Festival took place this year out at the new Wilderness Trace Distillery grounds. In previous years, the festival was held in the beautiful and historic downtown Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky. However, the festival has continued to grow in popularity. 2017 Wilderness Trace Black Tie & Bluegrass Event
Last week, Wilderness Trace Child Development Center hosted their annual Black Tie & Bluegrass event in Danville, KY. Wilderness Trace Child Development Center (WTCDC) provides much needed services to families in the area. The event that took place last weekend was the main local fund raiser for WTCDC. The annual dinner, auction and dance provide support for the center’s early education opportunities for children at Wilderness Trace Child Development Center.

The 6th Annual Kentucky State BBQ Festival was held in Constitution Square during the first weekend of September in Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky. The festival benefited the United Way of Kentucky. While showcasing some famed BBQ pit masters from all across the United States. The attorneys of Hurst & Hurst Law attended a local Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce event. The event was held and sponsored by the Wilderness Trace Distillery’s. The event took place at the distillery’s new facilities on 4095 Lebanon Rd, Danville, KY 40422. This event was attended by members of surrounding county Chamber of Commerce, including Garrard, Lincoln and Mercer Counties.
The event was a pre-showing of the distillery’s new facilities at their new location on Lebanon Rd, Danville. During the event participants received a tour of the distillery’s new facilities. As well as an explanation of distilling practices. The facilities will have their grand opening on September 24th of 2016 and will then be officially open for public tours. Continue reading
Hurst & Hurst Attorney Acts To Protect 7th Amendment Rights Of Kentuckians
Protecting the 7th Amendment Rights. Hurst & Hurst Law attorney Rebecca Hurst, traveled to Frankfort, to the State’s Capital in February to help defend Kentucky citizens’ rights under the Seventh (7th) Amendment of the US Constitution and Section 7 of the Kentucky Constitution. Both the 7th Amendment and Section 7 of the Kentucky Constitution act to protect an individual’s right to trial by jury.
Rebecca along with many other lawyers met with legislators on February 9th, 2016. The purpose being to discuss Senate Bill No. 6. Senate Bill No. 6 would create a medical review panel system for use in civil litigation relating to health care providers. Boyle, Garrard, Lincoln & Mercer Counties Chamber Event
The attorneys of Hurst & Hurst Law attended a chamber event for the local Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce event. The event was held and sponsored by Stuart Powell Ford of Danville, KY. And took place at Stuart Powell Ford located in Danville, KY on November 19, 2015.
The regional event was attended by chamber members from neighboring counties, including Boyle, Garrard, Lincoln and Mercer Counties. Thus, regional chamber events permit business people and residents to mingle with those from the surrounding counties and strengthen relationships between the counties.
The lawyers of Hurst & Hurst Law, are proud members of the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce not only schedules event such as this, but works to further the goals of business people in the county. As well as encouraging business growth in Boyle and the surrounding counties. For these reasons, we are pleased as a firm to support not only the Chamber of Commerce, but Boyle County as a whole.
Hurst & Hurst Law Sponsored The Kentucky State BBQ Festival
The 5th Annual Kentucky State BBQ Festival was held in Constitution Square last weekend in Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky. The festival benefited the United Way of Kentucky and showcased famed BBQ pit masters from all across the United States.
This years festivities included an approx. 16lb brisket being thrown by one of the barbecuers. The brisket was intentionally thrown and struck and injured another. The brisket thrower has been charged criminally for his actions with second degree wanton endangerment, a class A misdemeanor. This story was picked up nationwide.
Hurst & Hurst Law is a regular sponsor for the local event. Daniel and Rebecca Hurst attended the festivities on Saturday and made sure to go back for seconds on Sunday afternoon.
Hurst Law At The Casey County Annual Apple Festival
The attorneys of Hurst & Hurst Law traveled down to Liberty, Casey County KY for the annual Casey County Apple Festival. The festival is usually held in late September to coincide with the apple harvest.
In 2015, Liberty, KY hosted the 41st annual Apple Festival. In addition, 2010 marked the 36th anniversary of The Casey County Apple Festival, and that year the festival was named “Best Festival in Kentucky”.
The first Apple Festival held on a gravel parking lot at a newly-built shopping center in 1974. And it has become one of Kentucky’s best street festivals. Now the Apple Festival takes place now in downtown Liberty, KY. Continue reading
