Founding & Managing Partner, Hurst & Hurst Law

Rebecca Hurst, Attorney

Rebecca Hurst is the Managing Partner at Hurst & Hurst. She, along with her husband, attorney Daniel Hurst are founding partners of the firm. Rebecca’s practice focuses primarily on Family & Divorce Law, Bankruptcy and Personal Injury.

She is committed to providing her clients with the legal services they need and prioritizes continuing legal education to help her better serve her clients. That is why Rebecca was recognized by the Kentucky Bar Association in 2015 and given an award for her efforts.

Born and raised in Berea, Kentucky on her family’s farm, she grew up working on the farm with her large family. This experience instilled the importance of hard work at an early age, one of the many family values she still embraces in her practice of the law.

Rebecca actively raised, trained, and showed Tennessee Walking Horses for years and still enjoys riding today. She has been an active member of the Humane Society for over 10 years and is a dedicated participant in community service activities and events.

Rebecca earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Kentucky University in 2009. Then received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2013. She was licensed to practice law in the State of Kentucky in 2013. Prior to opening Hurst & Hurst Law, Rebecca worked with the United States Attorney’s Office and clerked for the Kentucky Supreme Court with Justice Noble.

Rebecca has been practicing law in Danville and the surrounding communities since she was licensed to practice in 2013.  She specializes in family law, divorces, custody disputes, paternity, etc.) and bankruptcy law. If you have a family law issue or are looking to file bankruptcy and have questions, please call today to set up a free consultation with Rebecca.

Daniel Hurst, Attorney

Daniel Hurst is one of the Founding Partners of Hurst & Hurst Law.  He is a transplant to Danville and considers his move here to be among the best decisions he has ever made.  Daniel grew up in Berea, Kentucky where he met the woman who would become his wife and law partner, Rebecca Hurst.

After graduating high school, Daniel served four years in the Marines as a Military Police Officer.   He deployed to Iraq in 2006 where he served as a turret gunner in a unit whose primary objective was seeking roadside IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices); so they could be destroyed before they could be used against American Service Members or Iraqi civilians.

After receiving an Honorable Discharge in 2008, Daniel returned home where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2010 and a Law Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2013.

Daniel has been practicing in Danville and the surrounding communities since he was licensed to practice law in 2013.  He specializes in injury litigation (car accidents, motorcycle accidents, big truck accidents, slips and falls, dog bites, etc.) and criminal defense.  If you have been hurt in an accident or charged with a crime and have questions, please call today to set up a free consultation with Daniel.
